Today I installed a new Torklift Fortress GasLock for my Airstream propane tanks. It was very simple and worked better than I expected with my Airboard platform. The board rests on top of the lock, but it cinches down tight and I don’t anticipate any issues. The Airboard tilts slightly, but it did before and it actually seems more stable.

Torklift sent us the Fortress Gaslock to try on our Airstream 40lb propane tanks. I was unsure what I would think of it since propane theft is not something I had thought much about prior to receiving the lock. After using it for a couple of months now, I have grown to like it. Not only does it provide protection for the propane tanks, but it also protects the cover from being stolen. It is easy to install and use, and adds peace of mind. I will note that depending on the size of your tanks, you may have to modify it. Since our 40lbs tanks are taller than the more common 30lbs tanks, there is less room between the top of the tanks and the cover. As a result, I had to bend the wing handles on the Gaslock out so that they did not stick up so high vertically, to enable the lid to close properly..
